Colcom Foundation: Pursuing a Groundbreaking Philanthropic Legacy

The Colcom Foundation continues a groundbreaking philanthropic legacy by supporting important causes that many popular cultures don’t always agree with. Founded by a generous supporter of women’s reproductive freedoms long before the majority of the American public supported such rights, the Foundation is dedicated to promoting public dialogue on ecologically sustainable immigration policy while at the same time funding healthcare initiatives such as physician aid-in-dying and individual autonomy at the end of life.

The Foundation also grants local environmental and conservation projects in Western Pennsylvania. Through its grant program, the Foundation has provided funding to conserve and restore over 700 acres of land in the area and preserve and protect the region’s rivers, streams, and wetlands. Additionally, the Foundation has provided grants to assist in developing green infrastructure and sustainable land-use practices.

Through their grants, the Colcom Foundation has supported many organizations, such as the Center for Biological Diversity, which works towards protecting endangered species, and the Sierra Club Foundation, which advocates for clean energy and climate solutions. These grants have helped to advance important causes and support organizations that strive to make a difference.

Colcom’s grants are designed to support innovative, creative, and sustainable solutions to environmental problems. The Foundation prioritizes projects that are grounded in the principles of ecological sustainability, social justice, and economic vitality. Additionally, Colcom Foundation seeks to foster collaboration between organizations and individuals working on the same issues and to promote dialogue and understanding between diverse communities. The Foundation also aims to ensure its grantees have the resources and capacity to implement their projects effectively.

In addition to its grantmaking, the Colcom Foundation also supports various educational and media programs. These programs have included public radio programs covering environmental issues, films about environmental conservation, and educational programs about sustainable living. Through its philanthropic mission of citizen empowerment, the Foundation works to make a positive and lasting impact in the Western Pennsylvania area. Through funding initiatives and projects, the Foundation is committed to promoting dialogue around eco-friendly immigration policies and providing important aid to local organizations and individuals. Stream Energy Promotes Community Outreach

After the wake of destruction left by Hurricane Harvey along the Texas coast, one company was eager and prepared to bring aid to those affected by the storm. Stream Energy, an energy provider that offers fixed rate energy plans as well as mobile would stand amongst the rest as one of the few companies to use their funds to help the community. Through various partnerships such as with the Red Cross of America and Habitat for Humanity, “Stream Cares” the charitable foundation of Stream Energy was able to fund the aid mission.

The company culture of philanthropy isn’t something new to Stream Energy, in fact, many of their employees partake in various outreach programs within their respective communities. One in particular that many Dallas-based employees are passionate about is the mission to give back and take care of the homeless population. So, how does Stream Energy help the homeless? In conjunction with Dallas-based Hope Supply Co., Stream employees will not only hater meal and school supplies for the homeless children of the city but also fundraise funds to purchase over 1,000 entrance and food vouchers to a waterpark. This event allows children to be exactly that, children without daily stress of their lives.

Another passion project for employees is Operation Once in a Lifetime. The operation seeks to provide less fortunate military veterans and their families with the ability to enjoy a meal of their choosing. Stream Energy associates also provide transportation to and from the event. In addition, Stream also participates in the American Girl Doll Experience. The event sees ten veteran daughters being able to choose an American Girl doll as well as enjoy a night out, all expenses paid by the company. There is no doubt that Stream has changed the game and we look forward to their future projects.

How Dallas-based Direct-Selling Company is Using Corporate Philanthropy to Uplift Lives

Hurricane Harvey is undoubtedly one of the most devastating natural calamities in American history. The early-2018 hurricane enormously swept properties across Houston and its neighbourhoods, while companies were watching helplessly. Worse of it, people perished as others lost their homes. Nevertheless, the Dallas-based Stream Energy took the step to bring hope to the affected residents through their philanthropic passion.

In as much as the presence of Stream Energy during the deadly storm brought the company to the limelight, few people knew that the company had already established an organized corporate philanthropic mission of aiding the community. The successful energy firm launched a separate arm to deal with this mission. The division, Stream Cares, alleviates Dallas homelessness by funding and partnering with other charitable organizations such as Hope Supply Co. This kind of business model is a relatively new model in business set-ups but carries double profits.

Across America, it is usual for brands and high-profile politicians to engage in philanthropic missions with the aim of establishing a compelling status from the public. However, such activities mainly cover financial aids. For instance, businesses in the US spent about 19 billion USD in charity funding in 2016. But Stream Energy has raised its status higher. The direct-selling company has made it clear that philanthropy and giving back to the community is part of the firm’s DNA – its employees and executives are going to the extent of spending time with residents besides funding charities.

Apart from the trivial reasons of building loyalty and brand status, corporate philanthropy helps companies, which are passionate with generous giving back, take advantage of the organized structure. Kimberly Girard, Stream Energy event manager, describes the company as an organization with heart. In addition, the Stream Care foundation helps the company’s staffs meet with its actual customers and device new strategies of giving back.

Even though most surveys rank Texas among the least generous US states, Stream Energy is keen to outturn these surveys through the company’s generous model. Its distinct role in the world of philanthropy is not only vital in uplifting the lives of Dallas residents but also residents of the whole state. And according to the company’s mantra, philanthropy is part of office days.

The Center for Assessment and Treatment started by Roseann Bennett is a non-profit organization that primarily focuses on treating patients and families from the low-income group and is from the marginalized communities. Roseann believes that starting treatment as early as possible can make all the difference in most of the cases of mental health issues, but with the conventional method, most of the patients had to wait for several months before their therapy could start. It can increase the signs and symptoms of the problems, and there are fair chances of the effect of such delay becoming irreversible as well. With little funding of her own, she started Center for Assessment and Treatment, and with time, her work was appreciated and recognized in the community.
