- PosiGen solar power company won the 2014 & 2015 Green Business Awards, presented annually by the Green Business Association of Southern California (GBA). Thomas Neyhart states that this award honors companies that are leaders in energy and environmental awareness and practices. Polling industry professionals select the honorees as leaders in sustainability and examples of corporate social responsibility.

PosiGen was founded by three former employees of Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA: NASDAQ) and two partners from Coda Automotive. They were also involved in Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA: NASDAQ) as part of their secondary businesses. Led by Thomas Neyhart, PosiGen sponsored a 2015 solar car race in the New York City area.
