Tim Murawski is the President and Chief Commercial Officer of Augmedics, a leader in medical technology innovation. He has over 20 years of experience as a researcher and innovator in the life sciences field and brings his expertise to the company’s efforts to improve patient care. As an entrepreneur with extensive knowledge of new technologies, Tim Murawski also seeks partnerships and collaborations with other leading organizations. Tim Murawski has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon.
He also completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University, where he developed new technologies to monitor brain function during neurosurgery. From there, Tim spent 20 years working as a researcher for Medtronic Sofamor Danek, where he developed technologies for stroke diagnosis and treatment. He is now President of the Medtronic Sofamor Danek company, with oversight over marketing, sales, business development, customer service, and more. It’s rare to find someone who has such diverse skill sets as Tim Murawski does! He is President and chief commercial officer at Augmedics. Still, he also serves as an adjunct professor at Duke University School of Medicine.
He lectures on healthcare delivery systems, entrepreneurship, clinical studies design, regulatory law, global health policy research, and medical device design. He has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his M.S., M.B.A., and Bachelors degrees!
