In the Summer of 2017, OSI Group also announced it had purchased two smaller companies: Baho Foods and Flagship Europe. Baho Foods operated out of the Netherlands and Germany, but now OSI Group controls all of their assets. Flagship Europe’s purchase brings with it brand names such as Oliver James Foods, Tabasco, and Oasis Foods.

The School of Fashion at the Academy of Art University has bi-annually participated in New York Fashion week event since 2005. On September 9, 2017 the school once again made its debut with striking designs created with a group of ten recent BFA and MFA graduates. The group debuted five women’s wear collections and two menswear collections. With each of the students coming from different background and offering their own unique ideas this group’s collection was able to impress everyone in the audience. This audience also included Ms. J Alexander from Americas Next Top Model.

This is not an easy feat. However, with a prestigious university such as the Academy of Art University, all things were made possible.

The University was established in 1929 as a school for advertising. After its first couple years of success, the program has since expanded and now include thirty distinct area of studies. These range from acting and animation to automobile restoration and jewelry and metal arts.

The Academy of Art University is also known for its unique automobile museum which it owns and operates. This museum is home to over two hundred vintage cars. Forbes has estimated the cars to be worth upwards of seventy million dollars.

Each aspect of the Academy of Art University is what allows it to offer a wide range of studies and assists students, such as those who participated in New York Fashion Week, to be successful in their careers.

One of the most beautiful things each design that was brought to the runway on September ninth was the inspiration behind each piece of clothing. These students didn’t view this as a chance to make a piece of clothing, but rather express themselves through their work. For example; one student created her outfit to display different emotions felt during her aunts passing, another took the flags from their cultural background and used that as a base for their design.
